ARK Portfolio Manager

Sam Kimberley - BSc (Hons) LLB (Hons) Grad Dip App Fin

Sam co-founded ARK in 2011 and is the portfolio manager for the ARK Emerging Companies Portfolio Service. As ARK’s portfolio manager Sam employs a principled approach to value investing with a strong focus on risk management.

Sam’s background spans computer science research, legal practise and financial services. Before co-founding ARK, Sam was a lawyer at a top tier law firm advising institutional investors on infrastructure, private equity, real estate and hedge fund investments. Sam’s scientific, legal and financial training and experience give him a solid analytical framework for security research and portfolio management.

Sam has honours degrees in science and law from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance. Sam has also completed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst program and is an Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
