ARK's Investment Philosophy
We are uncompromising value investors. We believe a security represents part ownership of a business and that investment returns are largely shaped by the price at which securities are purchased.
Opportunity
ARK concentrates on a sector of the market where risk can be less efficiently priced: the small and midcap sector. This inefficiency creates the opportunity for ARK to select companies with superior risk-return profiles.
ARK employs a structured sell discipline to realise investments and adjusts portfolio weightings to reflect material changes in the risk-return profile of individual investments and the portfolio as a whole. However, we recognise that exceptional investment propositions are rare and are prepared to concentrate capital where we believe the downside is controlled.
